The Club Print Committee will judge all new members’ qualifications and place them in either the Advanced or Beginners group. The Committee will judge new members by their photography experience, and photography education, type of equipment owned, years in photography as a hobby or business, and viewing sample photographs taken by the new member. Consideration will also be taken as to the members desire to be installed into a group higher then the print committee has placed them. This shall take place in the month of January of each year. No member can hold two different group classifications at the same time.
Description of Prints for Submittal:
All prints submitted shall have been taken within the last 4 years.
The normal monthly competitions will be of prints only, unless the membership is notified of interclub competitions. Each month’s competition will have an assigned and open category. Members can enter up to two 8x10 prints in both the assigned and open competitions and up to two 8x10 prints in the “Safari” competition. Assignment themes for the year will be selected by a vote of the print Committee in December of each year.
The individual photographers shall choose their subjects for the open category. During interclub competitions different rules may apply.
All prints for competition and display must be borderless 8x10 prints. No printed boarders and no off size white or colored print boarders will be accepted. Prints that don’t meet these qualifications will be disqualified before judging. No print can have any identifying marks on the judging side of the image surface.
