Tips for Macro Photography
1. Think about the F-stop unless using a Marco close-up
lens. You need to adjust exposure settings to get the right light.
2.Use a hand-held flash when subject is a few inches away.
3.Use a tripods, try a macro focusing rial attached tot
eh tripod.{ this moves the camera back and forth.}
4. Use Marco mode on your camera.
5. Practice, practice, practice
TIPS FOR VIGNETTING IN LIGHTROOM
1. Edit your photo.
2. In Lightroom, scroll to "Effects" panel -try these
setting to just darken the corners a little without effecting
the rest of the image
3. Amount:52
Midpoint: 67
Roundness: +20
Feather: 50
Highlight: 0
This is just a start.
Great for portraits, weddings photos
Brightness or exposure-Exposure priority is to shift the highlight
range of your image.Shy image- if everything is underexposed but
the sky-use exposure and you"ll blow out the sky-sue the brightness
slider and it will shift the tonal range evenly. try taking 2 of
the same images try one with exposure and the other with brightness
in Lightroom.
remember +50 is one stop of light and +100 is 2 stops of light etc.
Tips for Vignetting in Photoshop
To draw attention to your subject in a photo
Open photo in P.S.
Control J {to duplicate}
change blend mode to multiply
click on "add layer mask" icon
Press D
Press B for Brush tool
click drop-down arrow
choose round-shaped brush
increase size of Brush
reduce hardness to 2 %
click brush size indicator{up top} again and it will close
Press 3 to reduce the opacity to 30%
Brackets to increase/decrease brush to cover full width of your
subject you want to draw attention to
Paint over your subject with a black brush- this is on the layer
mask
You can make multiple passes over the parts you wish to shed more
light on
To view your layer mask in the main window-hold down the option
key in Mac and Alt on a PC while clicking on the layer makes icon
in the layers palette. then Alt or option to return to the main
view.
this gives you more control if the subject is not centered.
